2. Who goes on a chocolate tour?

Anyone who enjoys eating chocolate, or wants to see (and taste!) the city in a different light. You don’t have to be a chocolate connoisseur to come along (though you probably will be on your way to becoming one by the end!).

If you leave us a note in your online ticket purchase, we will order alternate tastings wherever possible. In all cases, our tour guides will inform the group of the ingredients in tasting and leave it to the final discretion of each guest to partake.

PLEASE NOTE, we cannot guarantee that cross-contamination may not occur due to the nature of our tasting locations. If you have severe food allergies, please contact us at info @localflavourstours.com before purchasing tickets.

5. Should I eat anything before the tour?

Who can attend?

1. Are there age restrictions?

Children are welcome, but please bear in mind that some children have a limited attention span and therefore a 3 hour tour may not be appropriate for them. Parents know their children best and should assess the situation individually. Since there is a lot of standing and walking, please consider this when deciding whether the tours and events are appropriate for your child. Unless your child is a very good walker for children up to 5 y.o we do recommend a stroller in case they get tired since we are walking about 2.1 km, which includes a slight hill.

If your child is 2 years of age or younger and will not be eating, you will not need to purchase a ticket for him/her. If your child is 3 years of age or older, you will need to purchase a child ticket for him/her, regardless if he/she will be eating.

2. How physically fit do I have to be to enjoy the tour?

The walking tours require a certain level of physical stamina. We are on our feet for approximately 3 hours. Tastings are on the go and seating opportunities can be limited and sporadic. Be prepared to cover about 2.1 km, which includes a slight hill. Tastings are on the go and seating opportunities are limited and sporadic.

3. Is the tour accessible by wheelchair?

Unfortunately, wheelchairs are not recommended, due to the tight spaces in the establishments we visit. The Old Town is a historical district, which means that there are areas that are not ADA compliant. As well, the tour utilizes narrow sidewalks, cross uneven cobble stone streets, traverse certain staircases and utilises the boat to cross from the left bank to the right bank of the lake. Some of the artisans and businesses we visit are very small, and are not wheelchair  accessible in a tour group of up to 16 guests.

4. How about my dog?

Pets are welcomed, they will for sure enjoy the walk, but in some of the establishments we visit, pets of any kind are not allowed so they will have to stay outside for a few minutes.
